Who We Serve
We serve children 6 weeks to 12 years and their families. We provide full and part time care for children 6 weeks to 5 years or when they begin preschool. For school age children, we offer summer programs, and supplemental programs during school holidays and snow days. We look forward to offering alternative schooling options for children struggling to thrive in a regular academic setting.
Our Beginning
Kingdom Academy was launched as an initiative of Consuming Fire Ministries, formerly Blue Hills Church, to support families. Working parents often make difficult decisions on caring for their children as they balance job requirements with family responsibilities. Kingdom Academy helps parents find and maintain that balance by partnering with each parent to ensure their child receives the love, nurture and learning needed to succeed in their educational endeavors and throughout all life's adventures.
Building Community
Strong families are the base of strong communities. Kingdom Academy supports the vision of Consuming Fire Ministries to revitalize the Hickman Mills Community. In addition to childcare, Kingdom Academy links parents to resources in areas such as economic empowerment, health & wellness and spiritual & emotional heath.
Life Skills Preparation
Kingdom Academy prepares children to become lifelong learners by early introduction to reading, math, science, social studies and the arts at a level they can understand. The daily activities also focus on character training through teaching the children to reason through situations they face, and through moral development to produce strong citizenship skills.

Kingdom Academy is a Christian childcare center striving to provide the best prepared students entering kindergarten in the KC metro area. Our teachers create a joyous learning environment for children and their families. Our teachers form an energetic team implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans to actively engage with the children at all times through art activities, science projects, circle time, and other educational activities.
